SHADOWROOT GAMES is a new independent game studio which has just released its flagship title on Facebook. The company was started by two very enthusiastic, seasoned game industry veterans looking to show that there are still people striving to make interesting and innovative titles.

Game Overview:
Neorift: Nova is an exciting space based trading, travelling, building and tactical strategy game. The basic goal of Neorift: Nova is to become the most influential person in the galaxy. Everyone starts out in the same state; a small independent trader. Players begin by flying around the galaxy in a single ship, trading for fortunes on a dynamic market. Using this fortune players upgrade ships and buy new ones all while managing a colony on one of hundreds of different planets each with its own size, stats and advantages. Everyone chooses their own play style thanks to a wide variety of planets, markets, ships, technologies and projects.

Command your fleet:
Using an interactive map, travel between planets buying and selling items on the intergalactic market. As you gain credits you can use them to add more ships to your fleet or add upgrades to your existing ones. Bigger and better ships are available that enable you to hold more cargo or make you stronger in battle.
As you fly around the galaxy you will encounter other pilots and NPCs doing the same things as yourself. You can trade alongside them peacefully or you can raid them and try and steal their credits in unique visualized battles.

Manage your colony:
While travelling you will have to keep an eye out for a planet where you want to start your colony. Once established you can extract resources and build various types of structures that allow you to further choose your play style. From here you can develop new technologies and strategies to help both your colony and your fleet.

When ready you can expand your territory to other regions on the planet, however beware as other pilots will be competing with you for the land and resources, the diplomacy is up to you. Set up markets to trade with other players or even fill your fleet with resources to sell elsewhere. You are also able to build up your army to take other players resources by force!

Take over the galaxy with your friends:
Players can join together in mutual alliances called 'syndicates' and try to take on the galaxy together, sharing resources, items and military units as they go. They can also undertake huge syndicate projects together to gain bonuses for everyone involved, elect new leaders and discuss strategies.
